Pallavi Pareek, a change management specialist by education and profession, is building entrepreneurial solutions for the integral issues of the society and workplaces with core focus on “inclusion”.
Her current venture, UNGENDER is an advisory for CXOs to build safe and diverse organizations through strategic diversity management. Additional areas that Pallavi holds expertise is on legal compliance alignment of laws pertaining to workplace harassment and maternity benefits with internal policies, processes, infrastructure, and culture elements of a workplace. With her expertise in the workplace harassment laws and advisory role on board of several organizations as an External Member, Pallavi has engaged with over 100 workplaces and educated over 50,000 individuals on this law. At present, through “Project Jaagruk”, non-profit arm of Ungender, training for Police Officers on gender sensitization and sexual harassment laws are being conducted across Delhi. Pallavi through her product CloudTrain, was the first to devise an online solution to address the complex compliance environment of implementation issues related to the Sexual harassment of Women at Workplace Laws. The product initiative has been endorsed by the industry members (Confederation of Indian Industries and NASSCOM leaders) for their member companies. Currently, Pallavi in her role as an external member of ICC for several companies is advising them in building a stable and safe organization and implement the anti- sexual harassment act in its whole essence. Pallavi has also been a co-founder of a legal education entity, iPleaders, addressing the need of simplified legal knowledge availability for people in India. Pallavi’s first venture, iPleaders focuses on simplifying the laws in the country and building certified courses. iPleaders educational initiatives have reached across 15 countries and has a student base comprising of students, working professionals, government officials, consultants, doctors and academicians. Over the past five years, Pallavi has counselled and mentored over 5,000 individuals on their need for professional legal education. Recently, for her contribution through her entrepreneurial and social activities, Pallavi was awarded the “Women of Excellence Award, 2017” by Women Economic Forum in New Delhi.
In her work on Sexual Harassment Laws, Pallavi has launched India’s first and only online executive certificate course on Workplace Diversity and Sexual Harassment Prevention. This initiative has been supported by National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata - India’s premier law school which continues to aim to strengthen the expert base in this industry. As an avid speaker, Pallavi has been invited to be part of several prestigious platforms both in India and abroad. Her views on issues pertaining to gender and gender based laws, legal literacy, diversity, governance have been invited and acknowledged by several leading offline, online, live and print media. Her consultancy work has extended to working with the Delhi Government too where she worked on devising model schemes for addressing the issue of substance abuse in the state capital and also studied the employment law for People with Disability especially in the context of government offices.
Outside these two setups, Pallavi spends time with local communities and identifies individual and community needs that need attention. With her work experience across different countries and cross cultural professional training, Pallavi emphasizes on an organizations need for diversity. She combines her Six Sigma training to achieve vision and resource alignment across the organization to contribute towards its growth figures.
A graduate in BSc in Computer Science and MSc in Management with specialization in Change Management from Philippines, Pallavi has spent the past 12 years in boardrooms and classrooms, advising leaders and managers on growth strategies, alignment of organization growth vision and talent development with core focus on gender balance. As an independent consultant for startups, SMEs and MNCs in Philippines and India, Pallavi has successfully conceptualized, designed, developed and implemented strategies on as well as anti-sexual harassment policies for different industries - manufacturing, BPO, fashion, entertainment and media, food, education, service and retail.
